Lambretta 125 LD
Did you know?
It took until 1954 when Innocenti had a model that went over the 100.000 items produced. This was the popular Lambretta 150LD Series 2

Listen to the sound of this restored TV175

about every item on the engine is new:

-seals &-bearings
-GP cranck with TV conrod and standard GP 6-pole
-piston and bore
-bigbore exhaust
-80 link chain
-clutch & gaskets

Although the engine start and runs well, I found it has an annoying rattle, best heard at idle. I've tried to minimize the parts used,  to localise the rattle. So the engine was run (for a short time) without cil and flywheel cowling.
In my opinion the rattle comes from
-piston slap (new bore with only 1000km has about .15mm/6 thou play measured at 1 cm from cil bottom at 90° from gudgeon axis with a feeler gauge)
-or small-end needs piston washers. The big-end has about 0.8mm sideplay play the small-end 2.6mm)
